Here’s a treat for your Easter basket: Our first LIVE show since January! Yes, it’s true!
Join us and you’ll hear lots of great swinging music, cool jazzy vocals, and a few oldies as well. And it also means there will be lots of fun and frivolity, lively videos, and listeners hanging out in the LIVE chat.
Natalie Cole, Stan Kenton, Astrid Gilberto, Glenn Miller, Tony Bennet, Royal crown Revue, Jim Nabors, Manhattan Transfer, Billy Eckstine, Louis Armstrong, and more are all lined up for this week’s show. What a lineup!
Thanks for listening, tell a friend, and leave your comments and requests for next week below.
And here’s a picture of some Peeps:
Did you know “A Man Without Love” was originally an Italian song (released the same year – 1968) called “Quando m’innamoro” which translates to “when I fall in love”.
Nope. I had no idea. That’s why we rely on our listeners to keep us informed. 🙂 Thanks for listening!
Don’t tell FL Governor Ron DeSantis, but every time I hear the song “I Say A Little Prayer For You”, it reminds me of a drag show I saw 30 years ago, when they were making fun of Tammy Faye Baker and they changed the words to:
“Each morning I wake up, and put on ten pounds of makeup
Then I say a buncha prayers for you!”
Still makes me laugh decades later! RIP Tammy Fay!
My request for the next show is “April In Paris” by the Mills Brothers with Count Basie.
Happy Easter!
