Today’s show is a mix of, well, anything that might swing, even a little bit. How about Flight of the Bumblebee, The William Tell Overture, Hello Dolly, My Blue Heaven, King of the Road, and more, all in one show? Yes, it’s here. Listen and you’ll hear Ella Fitzgerald, Tiny Hill, Will Bradley, Eva Cassidy, Sherri Maricle and The Diva Orchestra, Brian Setzer, Frank Sinatra, Uncle & Bacon (seriously), Michael Buble, Glen Campbell, Abbe Lane, and a whole lot more.
Our next LIVE show is Sunday, July 22nd, at 7 pm.

Art is 100% correct about “That Girl” being set in Brewster, NY – but strangely, the opening credits of the show (looking out a commuter train window) is from NEW JERSEY! It was filmed along the Pennsylvania Railroad’s New York Main Line emerging from the Hudson River Tunnels and heading south through the Hackensack Meadowlands towards Newark (operated today by NJ Transit as their Northeast Corridor Line). A long way from the New York Central’s Harlem Division which served Brewster (now operated by Metro-North’s Harlem Line).
The Mary Tyler Moore show was set in Minneapolis. Her theme song was “Love Is All Around”, which would also sound great at the Moose Lodge or on “Still Misbehaving”!

You won’t believe this, but I ordered a cheeseburger from Jack-in-the-Box last week, and when I opened it up…it had NO BURGER in it!! (it did NOT however have 20 slices of cheese – thank goodness) When I brought the burger back to the counter, they were so embarrassed that they gave me ANOTHER cheeseburger, this time with TWO burgers in it!
Can’t believe my Mama Cass request for “Make Your Own Kind of Music” turned out to be this week’s “Moose Lodge Moment”!! I’ll have to check out Bobby Sherman’s version sometime.
YOU HIT THE BULL’S EYE WITH THIS SHOW. THANKS FOR THE REQUESTS.
JUST A COMMENT ABOUT CASA LOMA STOMP. I THINK IT AND TED WEEMS’ “HEARTACHES” HAVE THE MOST CHALLENGING ARRANGEMENTS OF ALL THE JAZZ MUSIC EVER RECORDED
THE BACKGROUND HORN RHYTHMS ARE ABSOLUTELY SUPERB .
Thanks Fig! We’re glad you liked the show – Stay well!
